All eyes are on Ranbir Kapoor and Alia Bhatt's rumoured wedding next week. While the official announcement is yet to be made, reports claim that the ceremony is expected to take place between April 13 to April 17 at the RK Studios in Chembur. Amid these rumours, one cannot ignore how Alia and Ranbir's relationship has matured over the years.
In an interview, Ranbir revealed Sanjay Leela Bhansali wanted to launch Alia opposite him in a shelved film titled Balika Badhu. While the film never saw the light of the day, Ranbir and Alia's meeting was a memorable affair. Talking about meeting him for the first time, Alia told in an interview, "When I met Ranbir for the first time, I was 11-years-old. He was assisting Sanjay Leela Bhansali and I had to do a photoshoot with him. And I was so shy that I had to keep my head on his shoulder and I could not do it."

As destiny had it, when Alia made her debut as an actress, she expressed her desire to marry Ranbir during one of the episodes of Karan Johar's talk show Koffee with Karan. Ranbir, who has been following Alia's work, never shied away from praising the actress and her talent.

Since then, Alia became a part of the Kapoor family. Be it standing with them after Rishi Kapoor's demise or attending annual Christmas parties, she proved it once again that she is a part of one big family, emotionally too.
