Swara Bhasker enjoys a 'spectacular evening' with Lily Singh & Never Have I Ever's Maitreyi Ramakrishnan as she celebrates Simone Ashley's 'Bridgerton 2' success

Period drama series Bridgerton Season 2 has been viewed for 193 million hours over its debut weekend, per Netflix's newly released Top 10 rankings for the week of March 21-27. Bridgeston Season 2 is now the most-watched Netflix English-language TV title in its premiere weekend in the streamer's history. Naturally, the second season of 'Bridgerton' landed in the No. 1 slot for Netflix's English-language TV series during that seven-day period.

Last week, team Netflix celebrated the success of the show with its lead star Simone Ashley. The team celebrated diversity as the party was joined by Swara Bhasker, Lily Singh and  Never Have I Ever's Maitreyi Ramakrishnan, to name a few. Swara took to her Twitter account on Monday to share pictures from the event.

Sharing the pictures, Swara gave a shout-out to the Netflix show and Simone. She wrote, "Thank you @netflix @netflixgolden @TeenVogue @versharma for a spectacular evening! Big congratulations #SimoneAshley…Thouroughly enjoyed #bridgertonS2 #Kanthony all the way!!!!" adding yellow hearts and stars. Kanthony is a combination of Simone and Jonathan's characters' names Kate and Anthony in the show.

The success of 'Bridgerton' Season 2 was expected, as Season 1 is resting comfortably at No. 1 on Netflix's list of most popular English-language shows, based on hours viewed in their first 28 days on the streaming service. The first season garnered 625.5 million hours viewed over that period after its December 25, 2020 premiere.
