After teasing the audience with a special video, the makers of Brahmstra have now released the first poster of Alia Bhatt from the film that blends the themes of mythology and sci-fi. On the actress's 29th birthday, the makers gave a sweet surprise to Alia and all her fans by releasing a video introducing her character 'Isha'. Soon after, producer Karan Johar shared the first poster of the actress. Directed by Ayan Mukerji, Brahmstra Part One: Shiva features Ranbir Kapoor in the lead role opposite Alia. This is the couple's first film together.
In the first poster, Alia is seen with fiery eyes and an intense look on her face with a small blood mark on her cheeks. The overall feel of the poster is fierce. Karan captioned it as, "My darling Alia, There is so much love that I feel for you while I write this but also so much respect - respect for your immense talent, your incredible growth as an artist and your ability to be so real through all the beats of your life! 10 years ago I didn’t know that one day I could proudly call you my very own Brahmstra…my weapon of love and of abundant joy… Happy birthday my darling, shine bright always. The film is Ayan Mukherjee's ambitious project and has been in the making for over 6 years, and this will be Ayan's first film after a period of eight years after Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani.
Produced by Fox Star Studios, Dharma Productions, Prime Focus and Starlight Pictures, Brahmstra has an ensemble cast of Amitabh Bachchan, Ranbir Kapoor, Alia Bhatt, Mouni Roy and Nagarjuna Akkineni, and will release theatrically on September 9, 2022 in five languages - Hindi, Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam and Kannada.
