America’s Luna Society to celebrate Sushant Singh Rajput’s birth anniversary in 2023 as Sushant Moon

Sushant Singh Rajput’s birth anniversary in 2023 will become a landmark year for his countless fans. The actor who passed away in a tragic and untimely death on June 14, 2020 will be immortalized by the Luna Society International for his love for astronomy. America’s Luna Society International has announced that his birth anniversary January 21, 2023, will be dedicated to the actor and will be observed as ‘Sushant Moon’ since it coincides with the first New Moon of 2023.

The declaration was made on the organization’s website wherein they revealed that January 21, 2023 will be dedicated to the actor who was a space enthusiast. Interestingly, next year, Sushant’s birth anniversary falls on a unique day as that will be the day when Luna is at its closest distance to the Earth during the entire year. The organization also stated that ‘Sushant Moon’ may become an annual occurrence but may not always coincide with the first New Moon of the year.

Sushant was a space enthusiast and had bought a piece of land on the Moon as well as a high-end telescope worth Rs 55 lakhs. He had bought a piece of land on the far side of the moon, in a region called the Mare Muscoviense or the Sea of Muscovy. He had also signed up to play the role of an astronaut in a film titled Chanda Mama Door Ke for which he underwent training at NASA but the film was shelved.
