Katrina Kaif shares a special bond with Salman Khan and his family members. It came as a surprise to fans when the actress didn't invite the superstar, his parents and siblings to her December wedding with Vicky Kaushal in Sawai Madhopur. A month later, Aayush Sharma, who is married to Salman's youngest sister Arpita Khan, spoke about Katrina's wedding and not being called for it.
In an interview with an entertainment portal, Aayush told, "For us, Katrina is a very dear friend and all of us wish her all the best. It’s the way she wants to decide her marriage and there is no big deal about it. I think everyone makes a very big deal. It’s her and Vicky’s big day and they need to have a good time, in whatever capacity, that’s about it."
He further added, "Katrina is always going to be close to us as a family and we are just happy that she is happy. When people find happiness, that is the most beautiful thing we can wish for our family, friends, colleagues, that everybody finds their centre and their happiness."
Katrina and Vicky had invited only a few friends from the industry like Kabir Khan-Mini Mathur, Angad Bedi-Neha Dhupia and Sharvari Wagh. They tied the knot on December 9 last year.
Katrina and Salman have worked together in films like Maine Pyaar Kyun Kiya, Partner, Bharat, Ek Tha Tiger and Tiger Zinda Hai. They have teamed up for Tiger 3.
