John Abraham and wife Priya Runchal test positive for COVID-19, under home quarantine after 'experiencing mild symptoms'

Once again, the country is witnessing a rise in COVID-19 cases. Not just that, the Omicron variant of the virus has become a cause of concern. According to Maharashtra Covid Task Force members, the third wave has started in Mumbai. Amid this, John Abraham and his wife Priya Runchal Abraham have tested positive for Coronavirus.

On Monday, the actor confirmed the news and wrote on Instagram stories, "I came in contact 3 days ago with someone who I later learned had COVID. Priya and I have tested positive for COVID. We have been quarantined at home so haven't been in contact with anyone else. We are both vaccinated and experiencing mild symptoms. Please stay well and healthy. Masks up."

Workwise, John was last seen in Satyameva Jayate 2. His upcoming film titled Attack co-starring Rakul Preet Singh and Jacqueline Fernandez is scheduled to released in theatres on January 28. Apart from that, the superstar has Pathan and the Hindi remake of Ayyappanum Koshiyum.

Recently, celebrities like Mrunal Thakur, Nora Fatehi, Arjun Kapoor and Rhea Kapoor tested positive for COVID-19.
