Mirzapur actor Brahma Mishra found dead at residence, police rule out foul play; Divyenndu, Vijay Varma express grief

Actor Brahmaswaroop Mishra, populary known as Brahma Mishra, was found dead today afternoon at his rented residence at Yari Road in Mumbai’s Versova. He played the popular character of Lalit in Mirzapur and has also worked in films like Haseen Dillruba, Kesari and Chor Chor Super Chor. He was 36 years old.

The police has found no foul play, prime facie, and said that the actor died a natural death due to a heart attack. His body has been sent to Cooper Hospital for postmortem and his family members in Bhopal have been informed. Mishra had been living alone at his flat for the past four years and the police has said that he was last seen a few days ago. As per media report, his body was found partially decomposed and found in semi-naked in the bathroom. Neighbours had alerted the cops after a stench emanated from his flat. Divyenndu, who played Munna Bhaiya in Mirzapur, confirmed his death on Instagram. Sharing a picture with Brahma, Divyenndu wrote, "RIP Brahma Mishra. Our Lalit is no more. Let’s pray for him everyone (sic)."

The tragic news was also shared by Ritesh Sidhwani’s Excel Entertainment on social media as they expressed their grief over the actor's untimely demise. Sharing a photo of Brahma Mishra, the post read, "We are deeply saddened by the untimely demise of #BramhswaroopMishra. Our condolences are with his family and friends. May he rest in peace (sic)."

Vijay Varma was equally heartbroken with the news as he re-shared Excel Entertainment's story and wrote, "No (sic)," with a heartbreak emoji.
