Avneet Kaur joins Nawazuddin Siddiqui as the female lead in Kangana Ranaut-produced Tiku Weds Sheru

Kangana Ranaut has forayed into production and launched her own company named Manikarnika Films. Her first project as a producer is a film titled Tiku Weds Sheru, which is reportedly made exclusively for the OTT. In July, it was announced that Nawazuddin Siddiqui will play one of the two titular roles. The actor has been signed to play the role of Sheru. Today, the makers of Tiku Weds Sheru finally announced the name of the female lead.

Young actress Avneet Kaur has been roped to play Tiku, the female lead, opposite Nawazuddin's Sheru. Sharing the first poster of Tiku Weds Sheru, Kangana wrote, "Receiving Padma Shri honour same day as beginning my journey as a producer is extremely special to me …Sharing with you all the first look of my first production venture under Manikarnika Films Pvt. Ltd …Tiku Weds Sheru…Here’s a piece of my heart. Hope you all like. Filming begins …See you soon in theatres first."

Avneet, a dancer and actress, made her acting debut with a TV show titled Meri Maa. Her Bollywood debut was Mardaani co-starring Rani Mukerji in 2014. She played the role of Rani's niece Meera. Avneet was last seen in the now-off air daily soap Aladdin - Naam Toh Suna Hoga. 

Workwise, Nawazuddin has films Bole ChudiyanJogira Sara Ra Ra, Heropanti 2 and Adbhut on the cards.
