Akshay Kumar and Pankaj Tripathi offer prayers at Mahakaleshwar Temple in Ujjain as they begin shooting for Oh My God 2

After wrapping the Ooty schedule of Ram Setu, Akshay Kumar flew to Ujjain, Madhya Pradesh, to kickstart the shoot of Oh My God 2. The film also stars Pankaj Tripathi and Yami Gautam in the lead. Akshay, on Saturday, shared the first poster as well as his look as Lord Shiv from the film that promises to be an "honest and humble attempt to reflect on an important social issue."

As Akshay kickstarted his new film, he sought the blessings of Lord Shiv by offering prayers at the Mahakaleshwar Temple in Ujjain. His co-star Pankaj was also seen at the temple. A video from the renowned Mahakaleshwar Temple is going viral on social media.

Hours after announcing Oh My God 2, Akshay shared a video with Pankaj. Sporting dreadlocks, the Bollywood superstar's look from the film caught everyone's attention. In Devnagri script, Akshay wrote, "Brahmaand ka praarambh jahaan, brahmaand ka prasthaan jahaan, aadi aur anant kaal ke svaamee , bhagavaan mahaakaal ke aashirvaad lene tapasviyon ki nigari Ujjain pahunche main aur mere mitra @pankajtripathi #OMG2"

Akshay played the role of Lord Krishna in Oh My God (2012). The film starred Paresh Rawal in the central role. The sequel of Oh My God is directed by Amit Rai.
