Maharashtra CM Uddhav Thackeray made the big announcement of opening theatres and cinema halls across the state from October 22 on September 25 after meeting filmmakers Rohit Shetty, Jayantilal Gada and a team of theatre owners. An online portal quoted a trade expert who said, "This is an ideal run time. The multiplexes will be able to add a sufficient number of shows in a day per screen and yet accommodate the cleaning and sanitization process that has been mandated by the government for the safety of the moviegoers between shows.”

Sooryavanshi belongs to the cop universe of Rohit and takes his Singham and Simmba films further. Ranveer Singh and Ajay Devgn will also feature in the film in special appearances. The film will release on November 5 in theatres
