'My children are my reason to live,' says Mandira Bedi months after the untimely demise of her husband Raj Kaushal

Mandira Bedi's husband, filmmaker Raj Kaushal, succumbed to a heart attack on June 30. Ever since the actress has been sharing memories with Raj and their family on Instagram. Now, Mandira has shared that all her energies are directed towards ensuring she is a good parent to her two children - son Vir (10) and daughter Tara (5) - whom she considers her biggest strength and the driving force to become a better person.

"My motivation to keep working, striving and doing better... My greatest motivation is my children. Everything I do, I do for them. They are my reason to carry on, my reason to live, to do better, to be better. They are the reason that I have courage, strength, the reason for me to earn. I need to be a good parent for them," Bedi told a news agency.

Friends, followers and industry colleagues mourned Raj's untimely demise on social media and expressed condolences. On July 30, Mandira held a special puja in the loving memory of her late husband. Her children, son Vir and daughter Tara also joined the puja with her. Mandira shared the photo on her Instagram Stories. She captioned the images as, “30th day,” along with a folded hands emoji.

Raj is survived by Mandira, their son Vir and daughter Tara.
