Finally, the Chief Minister of Maharashtra Uddhav Thackeray has permitted theatres to reopen in the state from October 22. On Saturday, a meeting was held between filmmakers Rohit Shetty, Jayantilal Gada and Mr Thackeray. After discussion, the decision to reopen theatres was announced. Now, productions houses are racing ahead to book slots for their films.
Now, joining the bandwagon is Shahid Kapoor and Mrunal Thakur's Jersey. The sports drama is finally releasing on December 31. Earlier, the official Hindi remake of Nani's Telugu film was scheduled to release on November 5 this year. Gowtam Tinnanuri has directed Jersey Hindi as well as Telugu too.
After clearing various obstacles, including two lockdowns, Kartik Aaryan's COVID-19 diagnosis and natural calamities, the makers of Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2 have locked March 25 for the film's theatrical release. Starring Kartik with Kiara Advani, Tabu and Rajpal Yadav, the horror-comedy is directed by Anees Bazmee.
Ajay Devgn is directing and acting in the upcoming film titled MayDay. The aviation-thriller drama also stars Amitabh Bachchan, Rakul Preet Singh and Boman Irani. Today, Ajay announced the release date of MayDay. It will open on the big screen on April 29, 2022.
