Salman Khan-Pooja Hegde's Kabhi Eid Kabhi Diwali not shelved, makers say film to go on floors in 2 months

Salman Khan's schedule got affected due to the COVID-19 pandemic and two lockdowns. Clearing obstacles, the superstar completed 2 major films and shot for a cameo appearance in the middle of the pandemic. One was Radhe: Your Most Wanted Bhai, which released on OTT on Eid this year; the second one is Antim: The Final Truth. As he is currently shooting for Tiger 3 in Europe, rumours were rife that Salman's ambitious and big-ticket film Kabhi Eid Kabhi Diwali has been shelved.

As the rumour spread like wildfire, Nadiadwala Grandsons, the production house bankrolling Kabhi Eid Kabhi Diwali, issued a clarification. In a tweet, they dismissed rumours of the film being shelved and informed that it will go on floors in 2 months. "We would like to deny all the #FakeNews. The set is being constructed & songs have already been recorded. Shooting begins in 2 Months," the tweet read.

According to reports, Salman was affected by the poor response to Radhe: Your Most Wanted Bhai, a film that opted for a hybrid release. A source told a leading daily that Bollywood's bhaijaan is in no hurry to start another project. The source had told a daily, "The picture of false bravado that Salman projects in public is not what he feels. In truth, the response to Radhe has shaken up Salman as much as the failure of Zero stunned Shah Rukh Khan. Salman is not in a hurry to start another project. The ominously titled Antim maybe Salman’s only release in 2022 followed by Tiger 3 in 2023."

Well, Nadiadwala Grandsons finally gave an update on Kabhi Eid Kabhi Diwali. Directed by Farhad Samji, the film stars Pooja Hegde opposite Salman. Bigg Boss 13 first runner-up Asim Riaz will be playing an important role. Reportedly, Aayush Sharma, Sooraj Pancholi and Zaheer Iqbal will also be seen in Kabhi Eid Kabhi Diwali.
