Nusrat Jahan welcomed her first child, a baby boy, at a private hospital in Kolkata on August 26. The Bengali actress and Trinamool Congress MP was reportedly taken to the hospital by her rumoured boyfriend Yash Dasgupta, who was with her during the delivery.
Now, according to a news portal's report, Nusrat has named her son Yishaan. The actress is yet to officially confirm the news but Yash said in a statement, "For those who have been enquiring about Nusrat's health, the mother and child are healthy and doing well."

According to reports, Nusrat requested the doctors to allow Yash to be present during the C-section delivery. It is being said that the actress is dating Yash for quite some time. However, they've never spoken about their alleged relationship.
A few months ago, Nusrat made headlines for her statement claiming her marriage with businessman Nikhil Jain is invalid. She said that the marriage was never valid as an interfaith marriage in India has to be registered under the Special Marriage Act, which never happened and so the question of divorce doesn't arise. Nusrat and Nikhil had tied the knot in June 2019 in Turkey. The wedding ceremony was conducted according to the Turkish Marriage Regulation.
After the news of Nusrat's delivery broke, Nikhil spoke to a portal and said, "I wish well for her, and a healthy life for the baby. May the baby grow and prosper in life. My differences with her would not stop me from wishing well for the newborn. I wish well for her. May the baby be super healthy and have a prosperous future."
