CISF officer neither punished nor rewarded for stopping Salman Khan at airport
A Central Industrial Security Force (CISF) officer named Somnath Mohanty has been the talk of the town for stopping Salman Khan at the airport for a security check. The actor flew to Russia with Katrina Kaif for the shoot of Tiger 3. Days after the incident, a leading daily reported that Mohanty, who is an ASI, was punished for talking to a media publication after stopping Salman.
As the word spread like wildfire, CISF tweeted to clarify that Mohanty wasn't punished but rewarded for his 'exemplary professionalism'. But now, it has come to light that Mohanty wasn't awarded for stopping Salman for the security check. In an interview, DIG Anil Pandey, Chief Public Relations Officer, CISF, told, "Someone shot a video of Salman Khan at the airport and a rumour was spread that the CISF personnel who stopped him was taken to task, hence we had to clarify on Twitter. It was ASI Somnath Mohanty who was on duty, and as per security protocol at the airport, he stopped Salman Khan and asked him to get security clearance. Every passenger has to go through the same procedure."
He further added, "The ASI on duty was not rewarded for stopping Salman Khan, but he was rewarded in internal assessment as the best performer. We have our internal reward mechanism. What ASI Mohanty did was a routine check, and nothing exceptional. Not just in Mumbai, but the CISF personnel at all the airports across the country follow the same procedure for airport check-ins of celebrities as for any other passenger."
Priyanka Chopra Jonas' pictures from Citadel set go viral
Priyanka Chopra Jonas is currently shooting for Russo Brothers' show Citadel in London. The thriller co-stars Richard Madden and Pedro Leandro. Not much about Priyanka's role in the show is known. However, some pictures that got leaked from the set have left fans excited to see the global star in a never-seen-before avatar.
In the pictures that went viral on social media, Priyanka can be seen dressed in a black outfit. It appears she was shooting for a high-octane action sequence. A picture saw Pedro pointing a gun at her. Priyanka shared selfies in her Citadel get-up for her fans.
Citadel marks Priyanka's web series debut.
Shah Rukh Khan and Farah Khan dance to Main Hoon Na song
Farah Khan made her directorial debut with Main Hoon Na in 2004. The masala Bollywood drama starred Shah Rukh Khan, Sushmita Sen, Zayed Khan, Amrita Rao, Suniel Shetty, Kirron Kher, Naseeruddin Shah and Kabir Bedi in the lead. 17 years later, the film feels fresh and is loved by all.
Giving fans a surprise, Farah shared a reel featuring her favourite Shah Rukh. The superstar, who played the role of Major Ram in Main Hoon Na, can be seen dancing to the film's title song sung by Sonu Nigam and Shreya Ghoshal. As he did his signature pose, Farah joined him too.
The reel went viral on social media immediately and is being loved by everyone.
