India men's hockey team bags medal after 41 years at Tokyo Olympics 2020; Shah Rukh Khan to Akshay Kumar cheer the loudest

The India men's hockey team, during the ongoing Tokyo Olympics 2020, rewrote history as they claimed an Olympic medal after 41 years. Adding to India’s medal count, Manpreet Singh and his men sealed a 5-4 win against Germany and brought home a Bronze medal. As the Indian men's hockey team ended their 41-year medal wait at the Olympics, Bollywood celebrities cheered for them. 

Shah Rukh Khan tweeted, "Wow!! Indian Men’s Hockey Team Congratulations. Resilience and skill at its peak. What an exciting match."

Akshay Kumar congratulated the team and said, "Congratulations Team India on rewriting history! An Olympic medal after 41 years! What a match, what a comeback!"

Farhan Akhtar tweeted, "So proud of #teamIndia for showing exemplary fighting spirit and bringing in our 4th medal .. super stuff."

Abhishek Bachchan wrote, "Shining bright with all the bronze. Spectacular victory at the #Olympics. Kudos to the Indian Men's Hockey Team for bringing home the medal after 41 years!"

Celebrities like Ananya Panday, Tiger Shroff, Athiya Shetty, Rajeev Khandelwal, Kritika Kamra, Reema Kagti and others also congratulated the Indian men's hockey team.
