RIP Dilip Kumar: Lata Mangeshkar says 'Yusuf Bhai has left his little sister'; Padmini Kolhapure to Anupam Kher, B-Town thanks legendary actor for the movies

Dilip Kumar, 98, passed away at Mumbai's Hinduja Hospital this morning at 7.30 am. He was admitted after complaining of breathlessness since last week. Hours after his demise, Lata Mangeshkar penned a heart-touching note for her Yusuf Bhai. For the unversed, Lata Mangeshkar would tie Rakhi on his wrist. She shared rare throwback pictures with him. 

In a tweet, she wrote, "Yusuf Bhai has left his little sister. His demise feels like end of an era. I am not able to grasp this news. I am very sad and at a loss of words. He has left her with memories and words." In another tweet, she added, "Yusuf bhai was ill for several years. He was not able to recognise anyone. Saira Banu left everything and devoted herself to him. She had no other life. I pray that his soul rests in peace."

Padmini Kolhapure shared a monochrome picture with her Yusuf uncle. She wrote, "Yusuf Uncle Rest in Peace. Thank you for being in my life. Thank you for your love your care ..You have taught me volumes! Will miss you till eternity.. not just me all your fans your well-wishers here and world over. I have witnessed the adulation the love the respect you had in the hearts of your admirers .. I can go on and on and on. Saira Baaji you have been the strongest pillar and support prayers and strength to you."

Neetu Kapoor shared a picture of Dilip Sahab with Raj Kapoor and Dev Anand. She wrote, "The deep connection and love between them."

Anupam Kher shared a video and wrote, "The legend lives on!! There is and there will always be a part of #DilipKumar Saab in every Indian actor for generations to come! His performances were like magic. Thank you Sir for those amazing moments i could spend with you! You taught me so much about life, living & acting!"

Shabana Azmi tweeted, "Adieu Dilip Saab . Unknown to you I have been your Eklavya.Thank you for the movies.Thank you for the language. Thank you for the dignity. Thank you for being socially responsible.Thank you."
