Kartik Aaryan's Satyanarayan Ki Katha to get a new title 'to avoid hurting sentiments'

On June 23, Kartik Aaryan announced his upcoming film titled Satyanarayan Ki Katha. The film is said to be an epic love story and a musical which will be directed by Marathi filmmaker Sameer Vidwans and produced by Sajid Nadiadwala. Now, on Saturday, the makers of Satyanarayan Ki Katha announced that they will be changing the title "to avoid hurting sentiments". Satyanarayan Ki Katha means the story of Satyanarayan, which is another name for Hindu god Vishnu.

In a statement, Sameer wrote, "A title of the film is something that emerges organically through the creative process. We have taken a decision to change the title of our recently announced film ‘Satyanarayan ki Katha’ to avoid hurting sentiments, even if that’s purely unintentional. Producers of the film and the creative team also are in complete support of this decision. We will be announcing a new title for our love story in the due course of our journey."
