Arijit Singh has been experiencing a tough phase in his life. The popular singer lost his mother to COVID-19 related complications today (May 20). She was admitted to a hospital in Kolkata earlier this month in a critical state. According to reports, she breathed her last today around 11 am.
On May 6, renowned Bengali and Hindi film actress Swastika Mukherjee tweeted to inform that A-blood group donors are required for Arijit's mother. Director Srijit Mukherji also copied the same message and tweeted in Bengali.

Arijit, a singer, shot to fame with Aashiqui 2's songs like Tum Hi Ho which became a massive hit. He lent his voice to songs like Kabira, Suno Na Sangemarmar, Mast Magan, Raat Bhar, Humdard and Samjhawan among many others.
