Taapsee Pannu recently won the Filmfare Award in the Best Actress category for her performance in Anubhav Sinha’s Thappad. A video clip from the awards ceremony is going viral wherein the actress has thanked her fellow nominees in her acceptance speech, including Kangana Ranaut with whom she has an ongoing social media feud. Kangana also responded to her in kind.

Thanking Kangana in the video, Taapsee said, “Thank you so much Kangana for pushing the boundaries. The benchmark of your performances just keeps going higher every year.” She also thanked Deepika Padukone, Vidya Balan and Janhvi Kapoor.

The video was shared by a fan of Kangana who captioned the video, “We know deep down sasti is #KanganaRanaut fan @KanganaTeam.” ‘Sasti’ or cheap is a term Kangana had previously used for Taapsee. Responding to the video, Kangana lavished praise on Taapsee and wrote that she deserved the accolade for her performance.
