Aamir Khan celebrated his 56th birthday on March 14. The actor was showered with love on social media by fans and friends from Bollywood. But little did anyone know that a day after his birthday, Aamir would quit social media to focus on his work. The superstar, in a statement on March 15, informed everyone that he will no longer be active on Instagram and Twitter. Now, days after the announcement, Aamir spoke to paparazzi about the decision at an event last night.
Talking to a photographer, Aamir said he was never active on social media hence he took the decision. He further added that he will remain in touch with his fans through media. "Aap log apni theories mat lagaiye. Main apni dhunki mein rehta hu. Social media pe kaha hu main? Mujhe laga vaise bhi main kuch dalta nahi hu. Nahi, alvida nahi. Main toh idhar hi hu. Kahi jaa nahi raha. Hum isse pehle bhi toh communicate karte the. Ab ismein media ka role badh gaya hai kyunki ab main media ke through hi apne audience se baat kar paunga," Aamir shared.

Workwise, Aamir will be seen in Laal Singh Chaddha which is scheduled to release on Christmas 2021.
