Ram Setu: Akshay Kumar to fly to Ayodhya on March 18 to give mahurat shot

When it comes to delivering multiple blockbuster films in a year, trust Akshay Kumar to pull off the impossible task. For the Bollywood superstar, discipline and hard work is the key to achieve success. After wrapping up Bell Bottom and Atrangi Re amid the pandemic, Akshay is all set to begin the shoot of Ram Setu. The Abhishek Sharma directorial was announced on Diwali 2020. The superstar is spending some quality time with his family in the Maldives will dive back to work as soon as he returns to the city. 

Akshay along with Abhishek and creative producer Dr. Chandraprakash Dwivedi will head to Ayodhya on March 18 to give the mahurat shot. The director told a leading daily that 80% of the film will be shot in Mumbai. He further revealed that the superstar will be playing the role of an archaeologist. Abhishek added that his look and character are inspired by several Indian and international professional archaeologists who work in the field.

Nushrratt Bharuccha and Jacqueline Fernandez will be seen as the female leads. Abhishek shared that the actresses will play strong and independent women. Aashish singh, CEO Lyca productions says, “It is an honour for the entire Lyca team to collaborate with Mr. Akshay Kumar once again on such a prestigious project.”

The release date of Ram Setu is yet to be announced. The film is produced by Aruna Bhatia under Cape of Good Films and Abundantia Entertainment's Vikram Malhotra and Lyca Productions. SubasKaran & Mahaveer Jain join forces with Cape Of Good Films and Abundantia Entertainment for Ram Setu.
