After the humongous success of Tanhaji: The Unsung Warrior (2020), Om Raut is back with another magnum opus film. Titled Adipurush, the film stars Prabhas as Lord Ram and Saif Ali Khan as Lankesh Raavan. Touted to be one of the biggest projects in Indian cinema, Adipurush has a stellar cast. Now, putting an end to all speculations, the team welcomed Kriti Sanon on board.
Kriti, who will be playing the role of Sita, shared pictures from Adipurush's sets in Mumbai and wrote, "A new journey begins.. #ADIPURUSH This one is too special.. Proud, honoured and beyond excited to be a part of this magical world.. "
PeepingMoon.com, on November 28, 2020, exclusively informed its readers that Sunny Singh has been finalised to play the role of Laxman in the 3D film. Confirming the same, director Om welcomed the actor on board.
After much anticipation, fans of Prabhas finally got to see his look as Lord Ram in Adipurush. The actor is sporting a moustache and has visibly undergone a major physical transformation. In the picture, he is seen posing with Kriti, Om and Sunny in an orange kurta. The actress is wearing pink ethnic wear. Sunny is twinning with Prabhas in orange.
Adipurush is produced by Bhushan Kumar, Krishan Kumar, Om, Prasad Sutar and Rajesh Nair. The film will release in 3D on August 11, 2022.
