There are just rackets, shuttlecocks, medals and trophies at Saina's house: Parineeti Chopra on realizing the responsibility in portraying the badminton champ

Parineeti Chopra has surprised everyone with her badminton skills in the trailer of Saina Nehwal biopic Saina. The actress has worked immensely hard to ace the stance of the champion shuttler. At the trailer launch of the film, Parineeti spoke about learning to play the game as an athlete and meeting Saina at her house which was adorned with medal, trophies, badminton rackets and shuttlecocks.

At the trailer launch event, Parineeti spoke about meeting Saina for the first time at her home. She said, “There are just rackets, shuttlecocks, medals and trophies at Saina Nehwal's house, and looking at that I felt the weight of the responsibility. I think she has less of her personal stuff at her home.”

Parineeti also said that learning to play the sport as Saina was something extremely difficult and challenging for her and that she thought of giving up every day when she left the courts after an intensely grueling session. 

Saina is directed by Amole Gupte and also stars Manav Kaul, Meghna Malik, Subhrajyoti Barat and Ankur Vikal. It is slated to release on March 26.
