Taapsee Pannu and Tahir Raj Bhasin have teamed up for the first time for the upcoming film titled Looop Lapeta. The Hindi remake of the Oscar-nominated German-language thriller titled Run Lola Run (1998), Looop Lapeta's shoot went on floors in Goa and will wrap up today. On the last shoot day, the makers of the film shared another still and upped the anticipation.
The new still features Taapsee and Tahir as Savi and Satya respectively. Sharing the picture, Taapsee wrote, "Satya ke liye, it was love at first fight. Aur main... Main bahut bhaag chuki thi. Ab bas paaon tikaana chahti thi. Life se maar khaane ki humein aadat ho gayi thi. Isiliye humne ek dusre ko hi, apna pain killer bana liya. Enter the world of fire n ice !" On the other hand, Tahir wrote, "Dearest Savi, tujhse mill kar meri life badal gayi and all it took is a day. Sometimes when we’re together I can feel time standstill. When you laugh it seems to slip by. We obviously bend the definition of time and now, quite literally, that must be put to the test. The only stakes higher than live or die are love & loss. So run, run like you must to keep us going! I place my bets on you ~ Satya"
Run Lola Run was directed by Tom Tykwer and it went on to bag a number of top honours including one at the Toronto International Film Festival and one at the German Film Awards. The thriller revolved around Savi, who has just twenty minutes in her hand to make arrangements for a huge amount of money to save her boyfriend Mannie's life. She hits the streets and is on a run for the same. Looop Lapeta is directed by ad filmmaker Aakash Bhatia and produced by Sony Pictures Films India, Tanuj Garg, Atul Kasbekar and Aayush Maheshwari. The film will release this year.
