'Check your source,' says Anil Kapoor reacting to report of Abhinav Bindra biopic being shelved

In 2017, it was announced that a biopic on former World and Olympic shooting champion Abhinav Bindra is in the works with Anil Kapoor and his son Harsh Varrdhan Kapoor in the lead.  Three years later, the film is yet to kickstart. Harsh has been roped in to play Abhinav while Anil will be seen as his reel father Apjit Bindra. Recently, rumours of the film being put on the backburner did the rounds once again.

An entertainment portal's report mentioned that the biopic has been put on the backburner and Anil and Harsh have started working on their next film, titled Thar, in Rajasthan. It was stated that actor-turned-filmmaker Raj Singh Choudhary will direct Thar. The report mentioned that Fatima Sana Shaikh will be seen in the lead. However, Anil was prompt enough to clarify that the report is false. "This is not true. Apna source check karo," Anil tweeted.
