Taapsee Pannu and Bhumi Pednekar's Saand Ki Aankh opens 51st edition of the International Film Festival of India in Goa

Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the 51st edition of the International Film Festival of India (IFFI) was postponed from November 20 to January 16-24, 2021. The festival is currently taking place in Goa. Minister of Information & Broadcasting, Prakash Javadekar, had previously confirmed the films that will be screened at the festival. One of them was Taapsee Pannu and Bhumi Pednekar's Saand Ki Aankh

Saand Ki Aankh, based on the lives of Shooter Dadis- Chandro and Prakashi Tomar, opened the International Film Festival of India. The production house, Reliance Entertainment, shared pictures from the festival and wrote, "As #SaandKiAankh opens @IFFIGoa, our heartfelt thanks to the Feature Film Jury for screening the film and felicitating the team!"

Saand Ki Aankh was directed by Tushar Hiranandani and released on October 25, 2019. It was produced by Reliance Entertainment, Nidhi Parmar, Chalk n Cheese Films and creative director, Anurag Kashyap.
