Lohri is here! A festival primarily celebrated in Punjab, it marks the harvest of rabi crops and the end of the winter solstice. Also called Makar Sankranti, Pongal and Uttarayan in the Southern and Western belt of India, the harvest season is celebrated with much enthusiasm. Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the celebrations will be rather low-key. On the occasion of Lohri, Bollywood celebrities extended warm greetings to their fans on social media.
Dharmendra along with his sons Sunny Deol and Bobby Deol posed for a picture on Lohri. Bobby shared the picture on Instagram and wrote, "Festivals are extra special jab saath hon Apne Wish you all a very happy #Lohri, #MakarSankranti, #Pongal, #Bihu and #Uttarayan #Apne2"
Neha Kakkar, who married Rohanpreet Singh in October 2020, celebrated her first Lohri as Mrs. Singh. Dressed in a pretty green and pink outfit, Neha wrote, "Aaj hai #NehuPreet ki First Lohri! ♥ Happy Lohri Hubby @rohanpreetsingh ♥ Happy Lohri Everyone! "
