Bollywood's favourite Bhaijaan aka Salman Khan celebrates his 55th birthday today. Since the clock struck midnight, fans of the superstar have been showering love on him through social media. This year, due to the COVID-19 pandemic, Salman didn't throw a grand birthday party. He will be celebrating with his family members and close industry friends at his Panvel farmhouse.
Last night, Salman stepped out of his Panvel farmhouse to celebrate his birthday with the media. The superstar was dressed in a simple shirt and jeans. Flashing a happy smile, Salman posed for the cameras. After cutting a cake, Salman had a quick interaction with the media.
Talking about his birthday celebration, Salman told a news channel, "There are no celebrations this year, it’s just me and my family, no one else. I had no desire to celebrate my birthday in this terrible year. I hope that the next year brings positivity into our lives. I hope that everyone is healthy, happy, and safe." He asked everyone to practice social distancing, wear a mask and follow all the hygiene protocols amid the pandemic.
When asked about the release of his film Radhe: Your Most Wanted Bhai, Salman said, "Ab Radhe jab release hogi, tab hogi. Situation clear ho jaaye, aur sab waapis se theatres jaana shuru karde, sabke paas itne paise ho ki wo aise entertainment pe kharch kare, jab bhi hogi tab hogi. Pichli eid ka commitment tha, ab iss Eid pe de dege, bahut hi jaldi... Agar iss Eid pe sab clear ho jaata hai toh iss Eid par release hogi, nahi toh phir dekhege."
On Saturday, a notice outside Salman's Galaxy Apartments was put up for his fans who gather outside his residence on his birthday every year. It read, "The Iove and affections of my fans over the years has been overwhelming on my birthdays but this year it is my humble request not to crowd outside my house keeping the Covid pandemic & social distancing norms in mind. Mask pehno! Sanitise karo! Social distance maintain rakho! Iss waqt main Galaxy mein nahi hun. Warm regards, Salman Khan."
The actor will be seen celebrating his birthday on the sets of Bigg Boss 14 in tonight's episode.
