Kartik Aaryan has started shooting for his upcoming project titled Dhamaka. Directed by Ram Madhvani, the film will release in theatres in 2021. Ever since the film was announced, fans of the actor are curious to know who has been cast opposite Kartik in the thriller. While it was being said Yami Gautam will play his ladylove, sources now claim that Mrunal Thakur has been roped in as the leading lady.
Reports state that Yami's dates were clashing with Bhoot Police co-starring Saif Ali Khan, Arjun Kapoor and Jacqueline Fernandez. Due to her packed schedule, she had to opt-out of Dhamaka. Now, replacing her, Mrunal will be seen sharing the screen space with Kartik for the first time. She recently wrapped the shoot of Jersey with Shahid Kapoor. She will also be seen with Farhan Akhtar in Toofaan.
Dhamaka is the Hindi remake of the South Korean film The Terror Live. It is produced by Ronnie Screwvala's RSVP Movies and Ram Madhvani Films
