On November 21, former Bollywood actress Sana Khan got married to Surat-based Maulana Anas Saiyad. Giving a major surprise to her fans, the Bigg Boss 6 participant started a new chapter with a bright smile. While it came across as a sudden decision, Sana clarified that she prayed for someone like Anas for years. Claiming that it wasn't an overnight decision, the former actress told a leading daily that Anas has influenced her in many good ways.
"Getting married to Anas wasn’t an overnight decision. I have prayed for years for a man like him in my life. What I liked best about him is that he is shareef and unn mein haya hai. He is not judgmental. He had said this to me, ‘Agar koi achhi cheez gutter mein gir gayi hai toh uske upar aap 10 baalti bhi paani daal do, woh saaf nahi hoti hai. Par aap usko gutter se baahar nikaal kar ek glass paani daal do, woh saaf ho jaati hai’. That had a lasting impact on me," Sana told the daily.
Sana, who now calls herself Saiyad Sana Khan, revealed that she wants to become a mother soon but her husband wants her to take time. "My husband wants me to take time, but I definitely want to become a mother soon," she said.
On October 8, Sana announced her decision of quitting films and showbiz to 'serve humanity'.
