Today would have been his 50 years in the industry: Neetu Kapoor fondly remembers husband Rishi Kapoor on Mera Naam Joker's golden anniversary

50 years ago, Bollywood got its ultimate charmer, Rishi Kapoor. Establishing a strong foothold in the industry, the late actor who passed away in April this year, gave memorable films and characters to fans to cherish forever. Today, December 18, his debut film Mera Naam Joker completed 50 years. Rishi's wife Neetu Kapoor remembered him fondly on this occasion.

Neetu, on Instagram, shared a collage of Rishi's pictures that showed his transformation. The first picture belonged to Mera Naam Joker and the last one was clicked a while before his demise. "Mera naam joker released on 18th dec. 1970 .. today would have been his 50 years in the indian film industry #rishikapoor," Neetu wrote.

Anil Kapoor, Rishi's best friend, commented, "Miss his presence on and of screen ..national award for best child artiste for mera naam joker .. a masterpiece made by the great raj kapoor .." Karan Johar, who worked with the late actor in films like Agneepath, Student Of The Year and others, said, "My absolute favourite actor of all times "

In June, Neetu shared a throwback picture with Rishi and wrote, "Big or small We all have a battle to fight in our heads you may have a huge house with all the luxuries and still be unhappy whereas have nothing n be the happiest it’s all a state of mind !! All one needs is a strong mind n hope for a better tmrw !!! Live with gratitude ,hope ,work hard !!!! Value your loved ones as thats your biggest wealth"

The actor passed away on April 30 due to leukemia. He was 67.
