Varun Dhawan confirms testing positive for COVID-19 on the sets of 'Jug Jugg Jeeyo', says 'nothing is certain in life'

Varun Dhawan has tested positive for COVID-19. The Jug Jugg Jeeyo star took to Instagram to share the news of his diagnosis. In November, Varun had started shooting for his next film, Jug Jugg Jeeyo, with hihs lead actress Kiara Advani. The film also features Neetu Kapoor and Anil Kapoor. On Friday, rumours of a few team members of Jug Jug Jeeyo testing positive for COVID-19 started doing the rounds. Soon after, reports of the star cast Varun Dhawan and Neetu Kapoor along with director Raj Mehta catching Coronavirus went viral. The team was in Chandigarh for the shoot of the film, along with Anil, who has tested negative for the virus.

Now, VD has confirmed the news of getting diagnosed with the virus on Instagram. Sharing a facetime screenshot with two of his friends, Varun wrote, "VITAMIN FRIENDS So as I returned to work in the pandemic era I have contracted covid-19. All precautions were taken by the production but still nothing is certain in life especially not covid-19. So please be extra careful I believe I could have been more careful. The shoot has been halted for now. No official statement has been yet released from the production team as of now. Jug Jugg Jeeyo is produced by Karan Johar's Dharma Productions. The film also stars Maniesh Paul and Prajakta Koli. 

Varun and Kiara will be seen playing a married couple in the film. Reportedly, Anil and Neetu will be playing Varun's parents. It is believed that their track will be high on humour. The film marks the maiden collaboration of Anil and Neetu with Varun and Kiara.
