Dharmendra announces Apne 2, to reunite with sons Bobby Deol and Sunny Deol

It won't be wrong to say that Bollywood is incomplete without mentioning the Deol family. With Dharmendra being the A-lister actor, he enjoys a massive fan following. His sons Sunny Deol and Bobby Deol aren't far behind. The Deol trio delighted fans by teaming up for Apne and Yamla Pagla Deewana franchise in the past. Now, it is time for Apne to get its sequel.

Dharmendra, today, on his Twitter account, shared a video of Apne, which according to him is one of the best films of his career. "With his blessings, your good wishes, we have decided to give you APNE2," he wrote. Apne, released in 2007, revolved around an ex-boxer who tries to wash the stain in his career through his sons.

Talking about Apne 2 in an interview with a leading daily, Bobby said, "I believe papa, bhaiyya, and I have innate chemistry, which clicks with the audience. The Deols are known to be a close-knit family, and our values are reflected in the family dramas we make. The familial relationships were the USP of Apne. Papa can’t wait to face the camera. He has been working since he was a teenager and is a complete workaholic. We will definitely take the necessary precautions; endangering his life during the shoot is out of the question. We are hoping that by the time the movie rolls, things will be better."

Reportedly, Apne 2 will go on floors in March or April 2021 and the shoot will take place in London and Mumbai.
