Kiara Advani's 'Indoo Ki Jawani' bears the brunt of the Censor Board, CBFC edits out dialogues on the crime rate in Delhi

Kiara Advani's Indoo Ki Jawani has undergone changes by the Censor Board of India. A dialogue where Kiara calls co-star Aditya Seal 'Haramzade' has been replaced with 'Aatankwadi'. On the other hand, a dialogue that talks about crime against women in Delhi has been completely edited out. Calling out the 'ridiculous censorship of films' in Bollywood, Film Journalist Rahul Raut tweeted the photos by CBFC that shows all the changes. 

Rahul Raut confirmed the news and tweeted, "Indian Censor Board has replaced "Haramzade" word with "Aatankwadi", and removed a dialogue that talks about "Crime against women in Delhi" in @advani_kiara's #IndooKiJawani... CBFC continues the ridiculous censorship of films! #HappensInBollywood @EmmayEntertain"

In the film, Kiara plays a girl from Ghaziabad, Uttar Pradesh, who is in search for a boyfriend through dating apps. The film revolves around her misadventures with dating apps. 

Indoo Ki Jawani is written and directed by Abir Sengupta and produced by Bhushan Kumar, Divya Khosla Kumar, Krishan Kumar, Monisha Advani, Madhu Bhojwani, Nikkhil Advani, Ryan Stephen, Niranjan Iyengar. The film is co-produced by Kunal Advani (Emmay), Vinod Bhanushali and Shiv Chanana (T-Series), and President Global Digital Business and Legal Neeraj Kalyan (T-Series). Indoo Ki Jawani will release in theatres on December 11, 2020.
