Ailing actor Faraaz Khan passes away after a long battle in the hospital, Pooja Bhatt shares the news

Actor Faraaz Khan, who was seen in films like Mehndi and Fareb, passed away today at a hospital in Bengaluru. He was admitted to the hospital in October after he suffered three consecutive seizures owing to a herpes infection in his brain that had spread from his chest. He developed pneumonia as a consequence of seizures. 

Pooja Bhatt, on Twitter, shared the heartbreaking news and mourned Faraaz's demise. "With a heavy heart I break the news that #FaraazKhan has left us for what I believe, is a better place.Gratitude to all for your help & good wishes when he needed it most.Please keep his family in your thoughts & prayers.The void he has left behind will be impossible to fill," Pooja tweeted.

Faraaz's brother Fahmaan Khan is an actor who is in the show Mere Dad Ki Dulhan. Fahmaan, after his brother's hospitalisation, issued a statement and started raising funds for his treatment on a digital platform. 

Pooja was one of the first celebrities who came out in support of Faraaz and his family. Later, Salman Khan jumped to his side for help and paid all his medical bills. Kashmera Shah thanked the superstar on Instagram by writing, "You are truly a great Human Being. Thank you for taking care of Faraaz Khan and his medical bills. Actor Faraaz Khan of Fareb game is in critical condition and Salman has stood by his side and helped him like he helps so many others. I am and will always remain a true admirer. If people don’t like this post I don’t care. You have a choice to unfollow me. This is what I think and feel. I think he is the most genuine person I have ever met in this film industry."
