Emraan Hashmi signs a slice of life film titled 'Sab First Class Hai', says 'it is a laugh riot with poignant moments'

Emraan Hashmi, in his illustrious career in Bollywood, has maintained a distance from light-hearted comedies. Now, post the lockdown, the actor who is known for doing dark films, has signed his first project in the comic space. Titled Sab First Class Hai, the film will be directed by Balwinder Singh Janjua, who developed the script of Saand Ki Aankh and Mubarakan. Sab First Class Hai is a slice of life film that narrates how a common man has to go beyond his means to fulfill his aspirations. Talking about the film, Emraan told a leading daily that he came on board soon after the first narration. Calling Balwinder's script a laugh riot, the actor said the film has a sensitive story.

"The film is a hilarious yet sensitive story about how the protagonist can go to any length to fulfill his needs. In the bargain, he may lose his family, his standing in society, and gets caught in a situation he cannot find his way out of. Balwinder's script is a laugh riot, but has its poignant moments as well," Emraan told.

Balwinder, who is also the scriptwriter with Rupinder Chahal and Anil Rodhan, said Sab First Class Hai will present Emraan in a different light. "From the beginning of his career, Emraan hasn't shied away from bold or negative parts. He has been stereotyped due to his past roles. When he heard the narration, he realised that this is the right script to break the image," he said.

Reportedly, the director is conducting virtual tours to finalise the shoot location amid travel restrictions.
