Sanjay Dutt to return home from the hospital after preliminary tests?

Sanjay Dutt, on Tuesday, was admitted to Kokilaben Dhirubhai Ambani Hospital after he was diagnosed with lung cancer a couple of days ago. Reportedly, his lung cancer is in an advanced stage. Now, as per the latest update on Sanjay's health, a source close to the actor and his family told a leading daily that he is in the hospital for preliminary tests. Once the reports are out, Sanjay is expected to return home but visits to the hospital will be frequent. Stating that the Dutts are determined to fight the battle with confidence and grace, the source said they are prepared for the long and tough journey ahead. 

"Despite knowing this will be a long and tough journey, they are determined to go about their lives as normally as possible, confident that this too shall pass. Right now, the preliminary tests are being conducted. So, Sanjay is not expected to be in the hospital for a long time. Once the reports are out, he will return home but hospital visits will be frequent," the source told.

According to the source, the Dutts, having seen late Nargis and the Panipat actor's first wife Richa Sharma battle cancer, are familiar with the treatment. Priya Dutt, Sanjay's sister, is running a cancer foundation for the past two decades.

Post Sanjay's lung cancer diagnosis, rumours were rife that the actor will travel to the US for his treatment. Addressing the same, the source informed that the family will discuss the next step after the preliminary test reports are out. "The family will discuss the future course of action depending on the test reports," the source said.
