Wanted to discuss a lot, but ended up saying 'bhai, you look handsome': Manav Kaul on meeting Irrfan for the last time

Bollywood actor Irrfan left behind an unmatched legacy. While his fans are finding it difficult to come to terms with the less, Manav Kaul, on Facebook, penned a heartfelt note for the late actor. Sharing a picture of his grave, Manav who worked with Irrfan in the television show Banegi Apni Baat, wrote in his note that he came to Mumbai only after taking Irrfan's phone number. Remembering that he bagged the show because of Irrfan and had most of his scenes with him.

Manav further wrote that while watching the scenes on the monitor, he said it was difficult to not admire him and would gaze at him in awe. Calling his acting unique and different from others, the Tumhari Sulu actor gushed saying unseen layers of the Hindi Medium actor's acting craft would unfold with every new film. Manav recalled how Irrfan saying ruhdar (soulful) in Haider would induce goosebumps. Remembering his last time he met Irrfan at Screen Awards, Manav said he wanted to discuss a lot with him but ended up saying, 'Irrfan bhai, you are looking handsome'.

Irrfan passed away on April 29 this year after a two-year-long battle with neuroendocrine tumour. He is survived by his wife Sutapa Sikdar and two sons-Babil and Ayaan.
