'I love you': Janhvi Kapoor shares a throwback picture with late mother Sridevi on her birth anniversary

Bollywood actress late Sridevi would have turned 57 years old today. The Sadma actress who left for her heavenly abode on February 24, 2018, is still alive in the memory of her family and fans. Remembering her mother fondly, Janhvi Kapoor took a trip down the memory lane and shared a sweet picture on Instagram.

Janhvi, whose second film Gunjan Saxena: The Kargil Girl released on Netflix yesterday, shared a black and white picture wherein she is seen hugging her 'mumma' Sridevi. "I love you mumma," she wrote.

Sridevi, who wanted her daughter Janhvi's debut Dhadak to be nothing less than perfect, breathed her last a few months before its release. Like a doting mother and teacher, she stood by Janhvi's side during the making of the film. Though Sridevi never saw her daughter shine on the silver screen, she was one of the few to watch the rushes. More than a mother, Sridevi was a friend, guide and biggest critic of the 23-year-old actress who is focusing to keep her mother's legacy alive with her body of work.

Janhvi, after Dhadak in 2018, was seen in Zoya Akhtar's film in Netflix's anthology Ghost Stories. Her Gunjan Saxena: The Kargil Girl has opened to rave reviews.
