If Rhea was confident Sushant was depressed, she shouldn't have left him alone: Ankita Lokhande

Sushant Singh Rajput died by suicide on June 14 and ever since, the Police department has been investigating the case. His case took an unexpected turn on July 28 when the actor's father K.K. Singh filed an FIR at Patna’s Rajiv Nagar Police Station against his girlfriend Rhea Chakraborty and her family for conspiracy and abetment of suicide. Patna Police is now investigating the case further.

Now, in an interview with India Today, Sushant's Pavitra Rishta co-star and ex-girlfriend Ankita Lokhande, has spoken about the actor, his untimely demise and why she refuses to believe he was in depression. Here are the 10 things that Ankita had to say about the case and the actor's tragic death:

- I have spoken in detail with Mumbai and Patna Police but no, I haven't signed any statement!

- Can't comment on Rhea's (Chakraborty) and Sushat's relationship. Who am I to do that? But yes, I was with him for 7 years. Only the last 4 years we weren't together and I am taking a stand for his family.

- I refuse to believe there was a depression angle. He died, how? Suicide, murder? I want to know the truth.

- If you say that he was not well, and you love someone, why would you leave him in such conditions (Ankita on Rhea leaving Sushant's house a week before his death)

- If she (Rhea) was confident he was depressed, she shouldn't have left him alone. And even if you wanted to leave, why didn't you inform his family about his state? As you have been saying now.

- What Nepotism? Sanjay Leela Bhansali sir offered us both a film. But Sushant was heavily invested in Paani. Both Aditya Chopra's and SLB's statements, given to the police, are not wrong. He was offered a film which he couldn't do because he chose one film over the other. Where did nepotism come from?

- Aditya (Chopra) sir was always there for Sushant. He always appreciated him. Yes, Paani did create some tension but Adi Sir always had good interest for Sushant. I have seen this so I know.

- Sushant had no charm of money. To the ones saying he fell into depression because of monetary losses, it's incorrect.

- Blind items are written for all. Some take to it to heart, some don't. Unlike me, those blind items mattered to Sushant. He always used to say he doesn't have a Godfather, and his image in media/fans is all he has, that mattered to him the most.

- I believe in Maharashtra police, I stay here. They keep me safe in this city. But it's not about them or CBI. Whichever outlet gets Sushant's justice, I am with them. All I want is justice.
