Vicky Kaushal, Shweta Tripathi and Richa Chadha have shared heartfelt posts on Instagram on their film Masaan’s 5th anniversary. Directed by Neeraj Ghaywan, Masaan was set In Varanasi and was based on Devi's (Richa) struggle to shake off the social stigma of pre-marital sexual relations and lovers Deepak's (Vicky) and Shalu's (Shweta) attempt to transcend the restrictions of their casteist society. The film had become one of the critically acclaimed films on 2015. 

Today as the film clocked 5 years, Vicky shared a series of stills from the film and captioned it with balloon emoticons.

Vicky also shared a fan-made tribute on his stories along with his brother Sunny Kaushal's story dedicated to Masaan.

Sharing several pictures from the film's promotions and shoot, Shweta wrote, "This day. 5 years back. One of the most important things for an actor is that first Friday, when the world sees them on the BIG screen for the first time. And I really couldn’t have asked for a better one. The team, the story, the characters, the place, the music.. all of it so, soooo special and close to our hearts. We were in Benaras for the premiere. The city where where it all began Khud ka hair and make-up karke, muskuraatey hoe aur tummy mein bahut saari ko lekar pahuch gaye thee hum apni film sabke saath dekhne. We felt all kinds of then and still do. Thank you for the love, the poetry and the baarish. Thank you for making us your Devi, Deepak aur Shaalu."
