You were an inspiration: Akshay Kumar, Manoj Bajpayee, Farah Khan and others mourn the demise of veteran choreographer Saroj Khan

Veteran choreographer Saroj Khan passed away on July 3, at the age of 72. According to reports, she breathed her last during the wee hours of Friday due to cardiac arrest while undergoing treatment at a hospital in Mumbai. She was suffering from severe diabetes and age-related illness. The sudden demise of the veteran choreographer has sent Bollywood into mourning.

Soon after the news broke out, Akshay Kumar offered condolence on Twitter. "Woke up to the sad news that legendary choreographer #SarojKhan ji is no more. She made dance look easy almost like anybody can dance, a huge loss for the industry. May her soul rest in peace," Akshay tweeted.

Manoj Bajpayee wrote, "Rest in peace Saroj ji"

Choreographer turned director Farah Khan tweeted, "Rest in peace Sarojji.. u were an inspiration to many, myself included. Thank you for the songs  #SarojKhan" 

"Saroj ji’s name introduced the word ‘choreographer’ to my life. A genius who immortalised stars and the magic of Hindi film songs that defined an era with her iconic work. May her loved ones find strength and courage at this terrible hour. There’ll never be another," Nimrat Kaur wrote while sharing a picture of hers.
