Mahi bhai was shattered to hear the news: Neeraj Pandey on MS Dhoni’s reaction to Sushant Singh Rajput’s tragic demise

Sushant Singh Rajput left for heavenly abode on June 14 after he committed suicide at his Mumbai apartment. After his tragic death, several celebrities and fans expressed their grief on social media. 

Former Indian skipper Mahendra Singh Dhoni, who Sushant portrayed in his biopic M.S. Dhoni: The Untold Story, is also very upset with the sudden demise of the actor. Neeraj Pandey, the director of the 2016 sports biopic, in a recent interaction, revealed that Dhoni was shattered after getting the news of Sushant’s death. Speaking to an online portal, Neeraj said, “Apart from calling Mahi bhai, I have also called two of his best friends Mihir Diwakar and Arun Pandey. They all seemed very upset with such a piece of terrible news. Mahi bhai was in shock to hear the news and got shattered.”

Sushant and Dhoni shared a very close bond and became good friends during the making of the biopic. They had even promoted the film together.

Sushant passed away on June 14. Reportedly, he was battling depression.
