Sushant Singh Rajput, whose next film Dil Bechara just got an OTT release on Disney +Hotstar, committed suicide at his Bandra residence in Mumbai today. Police said the Bollywood actor’s body was found hanging by his maid and they were summoned at 11.21 am. There was no mention of a suicide note and all kinds of rumours are flying about why Sushant took this extreme step.
Sushant's last post on Instagram was dedicated to his late mother. On June 3, he uploaded a black and white collage of himself with his mother and captioned it as, "Blurred past evaporating from teardrops Unending dreams carving an arc of smile And a fleeting life, negotiating between the two... # "

Sushant's mother died in 2002 when he was just a teenager. Remembering his mother, Sushant often shared poems and notes for her on his Instagram. Earlier, Sushant Singh Rajput shared a handwritten letter on his Twitter profile, in remembrance of his mother. The letter read, "You promised you would be with me forever, And I promised you that I would keep smiling, no matter what. It seems we both were wrong, mother."
In a strange coincidence, the actor’s former manager Disha Salian also died under mysterious circumstances last week.
