Don't think I am the lady of the house: Janhvi Kapoor on shouldering household responsibilities after Sridevi's demise

Janhvi Kapoor has been spending time at home with father Boney Kapoor and sister Khushi Kapoor amid the lockdown. From cooking to watching web series to writing, to bugging the hell out of Khushi, she has been keeping herself busy. She also keeps her fans updated with her antics and shenanigans. However, in a recent interview, she revealed how the lockdown has made her realize that people in the house depend on her a lot more since her mother Sridevi’s demise.

During the interview, she said that she does not consider herself as the lady of the house after Sridevi’s demise but has been paying more attention to dad Boney and ordinary things like why is Khushi sleeping so much. She said, “I don’t think I have become the lady of the house because I'm very childish. But during this lockdown, I'm understanding how much people at home depend on me a lot more. Because I haven't been home this much for the past 2 years."

She further added, "Now all of sudden I'm keeping track of what Papa is eating, or why Khushi is sleeping so long, and how they are going to get vegetables and if they are sanitizing everything properly or what the protocols are. I was thinking If I wasn't here I don't know what would have been happening. I think they would have managed. I think the responsibility has just dawned on me that they do depend on me a bit.”

Recently, three of Janhvi’s house helps tested positive for Coronavirus. They have been taken into quarantine by the BMC officials. Janhvi shared a statement from her father Boney on her Instagram as well about it as well.
