R Madhavan's and Dia Mirza's Rehnaa Hai Terre Dil Mein holds a special place in the hearts of avid cinema watchers. The Gautam Menon directorial that released in 2001 has attained the status of an evergreen film and two decades later, fans can't stop gushing over it. Dia and Madhavan who won admiration for their performance reunited for an Instagram live session last evening. The session brought back Reena and Maddy aka Dia and Madhavan together onscreen after 19 years. Talking about the love they have been receiving for Rehnaa Hai Terre Dil Mein aka RHTDM, Dia told that the team is trying hard to come up with a sequel to the film. The actress further added that Madhavan and she will do it only when they feel they can give it their best.
"People have been dying to see us on screen. It has been over 19 years and somehow I’m still inundated with songs, scenes and dialogues from the film every day on my social media. We are doing our best to make it happen, but we will only work together when we can give our best. There is something so special about Reena and Maddy and I think there was an innocence and honesty we shared in RHTDM that resonates so deeply with everyone even today. We wouldn’t want to dilute that in any way," Dia told during the session.
Rehnaa Hai Terre Dil Mein emerged to be a blockbuster at the box-office and marked Madhavan's and Dia's debut Hindi film as the lead. It also featured Saif Ali Khan in an important role.
