It affects me as it reminds me to assure people to remember my face: Alaya F on dealing with constant social media pressure

Alaya F, ever since her debut film Jawaani Jaaneman released earlier this year, is the talk of the town for the right reasons. The daughter of Pooja Bedi and granddaughter of Kabir Bedi, Alaya won hearts with her natural acting. While she is yet to announce her second film, the young actress is keeping her fans updated about her personal life through social media. Talking about the same, Alaya, in an interview with a leading daily, confessed to feeling pressurised to stay relevant on different platforms. She revealed that Instagram affects her because she constantly needs to assure people know and remember her.

"I sometimes feel the pressure to keep putting up posts in order to be out there and stay relevant. Instagram affects me because it reminds me that I need to make sure that people remember my face," Alaya told.

Speaking of practicing yoga amid lockdown, Alaya said that she recently discovered that she is good at it. She stated that post the lockdown, she will join yoga classes as another way to stay fit. "I recently discovered that I’m quite good at it. It’s something I’ve never done it in my life. I realise that I’m flexible and I’ve a strong core. I can do a lot when it comes to yoga because it comes naturally to me. Once the lockdown is lifted, I’m going to start yoga classes. It makes for a workout and helps you stay fit," Alaya added.

Talking about the ongoing nationwide lockdown and how she is making the most of the period, the Jawaani Jaaneman actress said she has been reading scripts and would love to return to sets after shoots resume. "I definitely do miss working. My career just about started and I had to take a break instantaneously. I wish I could jump back into work. I love the feeling of being on a film set. I’ve been reading scripts during the lockdown. It’s great that I’m getting the time to read scripts," she said.
