Satyajeet Dubey's mother tests positive for Coronavirus, the 'Prassthanam' actor calls himself privileged to get her a bed in a hospital

The outbreak of Coronavirus has caused havoc all over the world. With its alarming spread, the invisible enemy has taken lacs into its custody. Now, as India continues to battle the novel COVID-19 for the past two months, Satyajeet Dubey's mother has been tested positive. The Prassthanam actor, in an emotional note on Instagram, confirmed the same a few days ago. While his mother is recovering at the Nanavati hospital in Mumbai, Satyajeet, during an interview with a leading daily, spoke about how difficult the past couple of days have been for his sister and him. The young actor told that he is privileged to get his mother a bed in the hospital amid the crisis situation. He further added that after calling a few of his contacts, they instantly agreed to help him out.

"As a son, I wanted to give her the best in terms of comfort. But, if you go through the normal channel, it’s next to impossible to find a bed in hospitals right now. Thank God for the kind of work I do, and the people I work with — I had to call a few people and pull some strings, and people were kind enough to say,  ’You don’t worry about it, we will help’, and they did," Satyajeet told.

Bas kuch dino ki baat hai. Hang in there. Never let a bully win. Even if it’s a fucking virus.

Satyajeet, during the same interview, mentioned that his sister and he are asymptomatic and won't get themselves tested as per BMC's guidelines. Recalling receiving a call from his Prassthanam co-star Sanjay Dutt, Satyajeet mentioned that the latter comforted him the way a father would do.

The actor, who made his debut with Always Kabhi Kabhi, hoped that not just his mother but everyone tested positive for Coronavirus comes out stronger than before. "I just hope that not just my mom, but every person who’s affected, comes out stronger from this situation," he added.
