Actress Dipika Chikhlia, better known as Ramayan’s Sita, is all set to play veteran freedom fighter, Sarojini Naidu. The hit TV serial’s star shared the first-look poster of the film on Thursday. Titled Sarojini, the poster shows Dipika looking away from the camera with huge crowds in the background.
The poster features Dipika's side profile. "Swatantrata ki nayika ki ek ankahi kahani (An untold story of the heroine of the independence movement)," read the tagline on the poster. While sharing the first look, Dipika used '#SarojiniNaidu' and '1st look... poster'.
Interestingly the film happens to be the first biopic on Sarojini Naidu, who was an important political figure in the Indian Independence Movement. The biopic has been helmed by two directors namely Akash Nayak and Dhiraj Mishra.
In an earlier interview, Dipika had said that she would love to do more female-oriented films.
